Why Am I Not Sleeping Yet?

Last Wednesday, I had an interview with Professor Suzette Worden, she's from Australia and she came to my university as an academic advisor. In other words, she is like an examiner, she checks if UTAR is keeping up with the standard of other universities - I held back in using the phrase 'other top class universities - because i believe UTAR is failing miserably to be fair, UTAR is not alone in that sense.

The interview was a good opportunity for me to voice out my concerns regarding the university, and trust me they are aplenty, starting from the syllabus to the lecturers, to the facilities. She was very professional and intelligent in the way she handled the discussion, she keeps track of the points mentioned very well.

One thing I really enjoyed is the way she made me think back on my comments. She made me realize that although there are so many negatives that I want to rid off, change or improve, these things actually served a positive purpose.

It actually made me stronger in the sense of backing my beliefs. It made me realize how important it is to keep pushing on with something you want to change. Even though the thing is not changed yet, the act of wanting to change it is a start. Some people just go on everyday accepting things the way it is, even though things suck the way it is, and they settle it with the phrase 'life sucks'.

Why though? Why must life suck? If you push hard enough for the thing you want that doesn't suck, probably life is gonna suck less and less. You must care for it though, you must care for what you want to change. And these things that I wanted to change keeps reminding me to change them, every single day.

So i guess it's a good thing.
